Sorry, scanner is not available, so I'll do my best to let you know what's up here.
First page:
Reals include rational and irrational, irrational is just irrational. Remember that complex numbers include REAL and IMAGINARY and COMBINATIONS of the two. Review number structures. Here's the Powerpoint if you want to look at it again.
#4&5) Check this powerpoint.
#6&7) Don't worry about these too much right now.
8-12) Check your work w/graphing calc
13-14) Divide and disregard remainder.
13) y=x^5-x^4-x^3-x^2-x+2
14) y=x^2-x
15) Consider these!
20) (-inf,-3)U(5/2,inf)
21) (-inf,-2]U[-1,2]
22) (-inf,-2)U(-1,inf)
23) [-5,-3)
24) (-1,1)
25) (-inf,-8)U(-6,4)U(6,inf)
26) (-inf,1/2]U[2,inf)
27) (1/2,1]
28) (-inf,1/4)U(2,inf)
29) The first 6 seconds. Set up the inequality -16t^2+96t+190>190
30) The first 3 seconds.
31) (x+3)(x-5) gives you critical values at -3 and 5. Just decide on the type of inequality.
***I'll be up until about ten. If you have questions email me or you can call my cell if you want: 952-210-6795. I don't care if it's wierd. Do it if you need to!!!
